Later Life 65+

The examinations that change decisions after 65 — without the ones that do not.

Screening after 65 is not simply the younger package with more of everything. Some tests stop being useful at this age while others become the ones that matter: bone density, cognition, cardiac function under load, kidney reserve, and the vascular changes that precede a stroke. This package is built around what is still actionable, and the report says plainly which findings warrant doing something and which are normal for your age.

This is the right package if

  • Ages 65 and above, with or without known conditions
  • Anyone taking five or more medications daily
  • Deciding whether a symptom is ageing or a diagnosis

Everything included

Blood & urine

  • Full blood count, liver, kidney and electrolyte panels
  • Kidney reserve: creatinine, cystatin C, eGFR, albumin-creatinine ratio
  • Lipids, fasting glucose, HbA1c and insulin
  • Thyroid panel, vitamin D, vitamin B12, folate and ferritin
  • Inflammation: hs-CRP, ESR
  • NT-proBNP (cardiac strain) and troponin
  • PSA for men, calcium and parathyroid hormone for all

Imaging & function

  • DEXA bone density scan (spine and hip)
  • Carotid ultrasound for plaque and stenosis
  • Echocardiogram with diastolic function
  • Resting ECG and 24-hour Holter monitoring
  • Chest CT, low dose
  • Abdominal ultrasound including kidneys and bladder
  • Spirometry with bronchodilator response

Cognition, balance and senses

  • Standardised cognitive assessment (MoCA)
  • Gait, balance and fall-risk assessment
  • Audiometry and visual acuity with intraocular pressure
  • Grip strength and sarcopenia screening

What we add

  • An interpreter with you at every appointment, and a slower pace between them
  • A medication review against the Beers criteria, listing interactions worth raising at home
  • Results translated by a medical translator, with the age-appropriate reference ranges stated
  • A 45-minute video debrief, and a second call with a family member if you want one

How to prepare

You receive this as a dated countdown after booking, timed to your flight. Preparation is where most checkups fail, so we do not leave it to a generic PDF.

  1. 01Fast for 10 hours before the first morning — water and essential medication are fine
  2. 02Bring every medication box, including supplements; the review depends on the real list
  3. 03If you use a hearing aid or glasses, bring them — several tests need them
  4. 04Tell us about any implant, pacemaker or joint replacement before you travel

Not included

  • Flights and accommodation
  • Treatment of findings
  • Colonoscopy or gastroscopy (available as add-ons)

This page describes diagnostic services. It is not medical advice and it is not a diagnosis. Which examinations are appropriate for you is confirmed by a physician reviewing your medical intake before your appointment, and we will substitute or refund if a package turns out not to suit you.

Add individual tests

These can be done on the same trip. Conflicts with what is already in this package are flagged automatically in your cart.
